Jabberin’ Jack

The talking animated pumpkin with a projector inside. Indoor or covered porch.

A real one. There is a patented short throw projector and a speaker built inside the pumpkin shell, throwing the face onto the inside of the shell. It is not a bulb behind a fixed moulded face, which is why the expressions actually move while he talks.
Important
Indoors or a covered porch only. There is electronics inside, so he is not built for open weather. A porch with a roof, a doorway, a mantel or a window ledge are all fine. An open lawn or a step in the rain is not.
Roughly 9 inches tall and 7.5 inches across. About the size of a small carving pumpkin, so he sits comfortably on a step, a mantel or a side table. He is a centrepiece for one spot, not a yard-sized piece.
Jack in two halves, the stem, a 47 inch USB cable and instructions. To be upfront about it: the USB power adapter is not included. Any standard phone plug works, and most people already have a spare in a drawer.
Push the two halves together, attach the stem, plug in the cable, flip the switch. No tools and nothing else to assemble. Three buttons underneath handle volume up, volume down and skipping between animations.
No. There are three character themes: Spooky, Traditional and Funny, and each has its own songs plus over forty lines of jokes and phrases. That runs to 45 minutes of content before anything comes round again.
He loops continuously until you switch him off. There is no timer and no auto shut-off. Worth knowing if you plan to leave the house with him running.
Two ways. Turn the volume all the way down with the buttons, or hold the plus and minus buttons together for three seconds to enter Still Mode, which holds one carved face and stops the animation entirely. Press any button to bring him back.
That is what the three characters are for. Traditional and Funny are the friendly ones, with jokes and songs rather than anything frightening. Skip to Spooky later in the night once the little ones have gone home.
That is the whole point of him. Pull the two halves apart and he goes back in the box he came in. No carving, no rot, nothing to clear off the step in November. Keep him somewhere dry and he comes back out next October.

Lanternwalk Path Lights

Solar pumpkin stakes for the walkway. Twenty heads, eight lighting modes.

72 cm, or 28.35 inches, in total including the stake. Once pushed into the soil each one sits at roughly knee height, so it lights the path rather than towering over it. Designed to line a walkway, not to be a centrepiece.
None at all. The round panel on the stem charges from daylight and the lights come on by themselves once it gets dark. No socket, no timer, no extension cord across the lawn. Put them somewhere that gets some daylight and that is the whole setup.
No. Like every solar light there is a small rechargeable cell inside and the panel keeps it topped up. There are no batteries to buy and none to replace.
Under two minutes and no tools. Unfold the branches, press the ON/OFF button under the panel, push the stake into the soil. Tap MODE to move through the eight lighting modes until you find the one you want.
These are built to stay outside for the season. The panel is weather resistant and the pumpkins are moulded PS plastic, not glass, so they will not shatter if the wind knocks one over or the dog runs into it.
It depends where they are going. Four to six for a typical front path, two to frame a doorway, six to eight for a driveway or back garden. Most people underestimate and wish they had gone one tier up.
Yes. The stake pushes into a planter or a large pot just as easily as into a garden bed, which is what most people do on a porch or a balcony. It just needs enough depth to stand steady.
That is the idea. Fold the branches back in and each one packs flat into the box it came in. Keep them somewhere dry over winter and they come back out next October.

Wall Bats

Twelve matte black bats with a light-up base. Indoor walls only.

Twelve bats per set, each about 6.5 inches across. Matte black finish, so they read as silhouettes against a pale wall rather than looking shiny or plastic.
Important
Indoor smooth surfaces only. The adhesive pads are made for painted walls, glass and tile indoors. Outdoors the damp lifts them off within days, and on brick, render or textured wallpaper they will not hold at all.
Peel slowly and at a low angle rather than pulling straight out from the wall, and they come away cleanly on sound paint. Freshly painted walls need at least three weeks to cure before you stick anything to them. If you are unsure, test one in a corner first.
Yes, there is an LED in the base of each one. It is a soft accent glow for atmosphere in a dim room, not a light source you would read by.
A diagonal swarm reads best. Start with a tight cluster and let them spread out and get sparser as they climb. Uneven spacing looks better than a grid, and mixing the angles stops it looking like wallpaper.
The bats themselves are reusable. The adhesive pads are single use, so keep a pack of removable mounting strips with them and you are set for next season.

Ordering & Payment

Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express, plus the express wallets shown at checkout. Every payment runs over an SSL encrypted connection through PCI compliant providers, and we never see or store your full card details.
If it has not yet been dispatched, email us and we will change or cancel it at no charge. Once it has left us we cannot recall it or change the address, but you can still return it once it arrives.
Check your spam folder first, as confirmation emails land there more often than anywhere else. If it is not there after an hour, email us with the name and address you used and we will find the order.
One code per order unless we say otherwise. Bundle savings are already built into the pricing tiers, so a code on top of a multi-pack usually will not apply.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping is free on every order. Anything that does apply is shown at checkout before you pay, and nothing is added afterwards.
We pack and dispatch within 1 to 2 business days and email tracking as soon as it leaves us. Delivery after that depends on the carrier and your location. Times shown on the site are estimates, not guarantees.
If you order by the cut-off shown on the product page, yes. Late October is the busiest week of the year for carriers, so the earlier in the month you order, the more room there is if anything slips. We cannot guarantee a delivery date once a parcel is with the carrier.
A tracking number can take 24 to 48 hours to show its first scan, which is normal. If there is no movement for 7 business days, email us and we will open an investigation with the carrier.
Check with neighbours and around your property first, as carriers often leave parcels in safe places. If it has not turned up within 48 hours, send us your order number and we will investigate with the carrier.
Yes. For orders outside the United States, import duties, customs charges and local taxes are your responsibility and are not included in the price at checkout. Customs clearance can also add time we have no control over.
That is normal on larger orders and on mixed orders. Each parcel gets its own tracking number and they can arrive on different days. Nothing is missing.

Returns & Guarantee

30 days from delivery. The item needs to come back unused, complete and in its original packaging. Email support@grimhouse.shop with your order number and we will send the return address. Please do not send anything back before you have that.
You do, on a standard return. We do not issue prepaid labels, and we recommend a tracked service. If the item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect, the return costs you nothing.
Email us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the item and the outer packaging. We will replace it or refund you in full at no cost to you, and we respond within 3 business days.
Unused and complete, yes, within the 30 days. Once an adhesive pad has been peeled and stuck to a wall it counts as used and cannot come back. Check the surface is smooth and indoors before you peel the first one.
Once your return reaches us we inspect it and email you the outcome. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 business days, then your bank may take a further 5 to 10 days to show it.
