The lucky glass sounded ridiculous

Not gonna lie, I rolled my eyes at the lucky glass at first. Then I tried it anyway. It gives you something to do instead of just saying "raise your vibration" 400 times. I can't tell you it magically changed my life, but having these little rituals gave me something positive to focus on.

Product information

Over 200 rituals and practices, grouped by what they are for:
  • Cleansing — the 3-3-3 shower, salt washes, path-opening baths with rue and rosemary
  • Protection and roads — for envy, blocked paths and stagnation
  • Abundance — the lucky glass, cinnamon practices, and the rest
  • Mind — scripting, visualisation, meditation, the 17-second method
  • Body — breathwork, circadian rhythm, eye exercises, and illustrated maps for the lymphatic drainage and tapping sequences
  • Timing — a lunar calendar, with each practice naming the day and phase it belongs to
All 200 follow the same four-part structure, so you never have to interpret anything:
  • Purpose — what the practice is for, in one paragraph
  • When — the day, the moon phase, the time of day
  • Materials — an exact list, with quantities
  • Steps — numbered, in order, often timed to the second
The great majority of the practices use things already in the house. Coarse salt, a lemon, a clear glass, a candle, baking soda, a sprig of rosemary, a cinnamon stick. There is no kit to order, no crystals to buy, and nothing sold at the back of the book.
Not a book to finish in a weekend. Most readers work through a chapter, try something, then come back later. You can open it almost anywhere and find a practice for that evening. You do not have to believe every page either, and plenty of readers do not — take the chapters that fit and leave the rest.
6 x 9 inch paperback, English edition. Illustrated throughout with diagrams, maps and colour plates rather than blocks of text. Printed to lie flat on a surface while you follow a step, which matters when your hands are busy.
This book records traditional and spiritual practices. It is not medical, psychological or financial advice, and we make no promises about outcomes. The body practices are described as practices, not treatment, and nothing here is a substitute for a doctor. We printed the methods. What you do with them is yours.

How the book is organised

Four kinds of practice. Open it anywhere.

Nothing here assumes you have done any of this before. Every entry names what it is for, when to do it, what you need and the steps in order, so you are never left interpreting.

01
Cleansing

The 3-3-3 shower, salt washes, path-opening baths with rue and rosemary. Most of them need nothing you would have to order.

02
Protection and roads

Practices for envy, blocked paths and stagnation, each one with its recommended day and the timing it belongs to.

03
Mind and intention

Scripting, visualisation, meditation and the 17-second method, written as exercises to do rather than ideas to agree with.

04
Body and rest

Breathwork, circadian rhythm, eye exercises, and the illustrated lymphatic drainage and tapping maps. Drawn, not just described.

The scripting chapter really got me, because I realised I spend a lot of time thinking about what I don't want instead of being clear about what I actually do want. My copy is full of little notes now.

My copy is full of little notes now

I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I kept marking pages that I wanted to come back to. The scripting chapter really got me because I realized I spend a lot of time thinking about what I don't want instead of being clear about what I actually do want. That sounds obvious, I know, but writing it down made it feel different.

So many things I hadn't seen before

The lymphatic drainage section completely caught me off guard. I bought a manifestation book and suddenly I'm learning a face massage routine. But that's actually what I liked about the book, it isn't just one idea repeated over and over. There are different practices, rituals and exercises throughout it. I've tried maybe half of them so far and already have a few favorites.

Slowly becoming part of my routine

I didn't rush through this book. I read a chapter, tried something, then came back later. I think that's probably the best way to use it. The meditation exercises have been especially nice in the evening, and I enjoyed the sections about clearing out negative or stagnant energy. I wouldn't say every practice resonated with me, but several did. For a book like this, that's more than enough.

A little outside my comfort zone

I'll be honest, some of the spiritual stuff isn't really my thing. I almost stopped reading a couple of times. But I kept going and ended up liking the meditation and visualization parts quite a bit. The book gives you a lot of different things to experiment with, so you don't necessarily have to be into every single idea. I found a few practices that work for me, and that's really what I wanted.
